Family Office Of Hedge Fund Billionaire Simons Invests In AI Startup

James Simons is know for his hedge fund Renaissance Capital, which is one of the most-successful hedge funds in the world. But, Simons is also investing in new ventures through his own family office Euclidean Capital, that is fetaured in our list of single family offices in the United States. In a recent investment, Euclidean is leading a $20M round for Peltarion, a Swedish AI-startup whose technology enables companies to use Artificial Intelligence.

Peltarion as “operational AI platform”

The Stockholm-based startup Peltarion describes itself as “operational AI platform”. In detail, it means that the company is enabling companies to run AI applications “at scale and at speed”. As use cases, the Swedish startup names cancer diagnostics, DNA sequencing or music recommendations. The recent investment round gives Peltarion a valuation of $110M. Besides Simons family office also EQT Ventures and FAM (the investment arm of the wealthy Swedish Wallenberg family) are participating.
