The holding company Financière Agache plays a central role in this. The company holds the shares in Christian Dior and LVMH and also actively invests as a private equity investor. Financière Agache also backs one of the most important Venture Capital investors from France: Aglaé Venture. The Paris based group invested in Airbnb, Algolia Netflix, Slack and Spotify – just to name a few.
2. Pontegadea Inversiones (Amancio Ortega, Spain)
Right after Arnault, Amancio Ortega is the second richest European. As founder of the Inditex clothing group, Ortega has written a global success story. Inditex includes fashion brands such as Zara & Zara Home, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Oysho, Uterqüe and others. The fortune of Amancio Ortega is estimated at $59.6 billion, according to the Forbes list and thanks to the Inditex dividend ever growing. Ortega invests in real estate and private equity through his family office, Pontegadea Inversiones SL. The company was founded in 2001 and is highly active in Spain and beyond. Among others, it has invested in the telecommunications company Telxius, the Madrid high-rise Torre Picasso and a wind farm in Zaragoza.
3. Interogo Holding (Ingvar Kamprad, Sweden)
Interogo Holding is the investment company of the Ingvar Kamprad family, which made its fortune with the Swedish furniture store IKEA. Interogo Holding covers various asset classes, with separate companies responsible for individual investment strategies. For example, the Group’s real estate activities are conducted through Vastint Holding B.V. (Amsterdam) with AuM of more than $4.5 billion. Apart from this, private equity and fund of funds investments are also made.
