Ray graduated from Harvard in 1973 and within two years founded Bridgewater in his two-bed New York City apartment. Bridgewater is currently one of the world’s leading investment firms, in 2013 it was ranked as the top hedge fund in the world. In 2022, Dalio transferred his majority stake in Bridgewater to the board and stepped down as one of the three critical co-chief investment managers as he focuses on his family office.
