In 1987, Jeffery founded Susquehanna International Group (SIG) where he is currently the managing director. In this article, we will investigate if there is a Jeffrey Yass family office which manages his wealth.
No family offices but investments spearheaded through Susquehanna International Group
There is no Jeffrey Yass family office but his investement firm Susquehanna through which he manages his wealth. SIG is a global trading firm and was founded in 1987 by Yass, Arthur Dantchik, Steve Bloom, Eric Brooks, Andrew Frost, and Joel Greenberg. The partners founded the group after a successful period of gambling on horse and greyhound racing. Their change to the stock exchange has proved very successful, with SIG now employing 2,000 workers worldwide. SIG has invested in numerous private companies to varying rates of success, most recently the group invested in TikTok’s parent company ByteDance and the investment has proved the most valuable holding so far. Apart from SIG and business, Yass holds a position on the board of directors of Cato Institute and is a member of the executive advisory council. Yass has been a strong supporter of the Republican party and was reported to have donated $25.3m in 2020, which would put him in the top 10 political donors in the US.
Yass latest investements
According to Forbes, Jeffrey Yass could almost double his wealth from $27.6 billion to $49.6 billion between February 2024 and October 2024. This is mainly due to his early investment in ByteDance. His firm Susquehanna International Group owns 15% of the company. Yass himself owns 7% of the company, worth almost $21 billion.
