We created this article as part of our research process for our European single-family office database. Here, we are investigating the share of UK single-family office investing in real estate.
In total, 66 single family offices in UK have a Real Estate Focus. This represents a share of 54%. By far most of the real estate family office in the UK is located in London. Investing in real estate in the UK can be a lucrative venture due to the country’s robust property market. The UK offers a diverse range of investment opportunities, from residential properties such as houses and apartments to commercial properties like office buildings, retail spaces, and warehouses. One of the key reasons why investing in UK real estate is attractive is its stability. Despite economic fluctuations or political changes, the demand for property remains high, especially in major cities such as London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool. The residential property market is particularly strong due to the constant demand for housing. Investors can make profits through rental income or capital appreciation when property values increase over time. Buy-to-let investments are popular because they provide a steady stream of income.
