UL Invest, the family office of Luxembourg-born tech entrepreneur Laurent Useldinger, has led a €20 million funding round in Innovorder, a Paris-based software company specialising in front-office digitalisation for the restaurant industry. The round combines a capital increase with a buyout of shares from historical investors, with Lyon-based family office Evolem — a shareholder since 2019 — retaining its stake. Founded in 2014 by Jérôme Varnier, Romain Melloul, and Olivier Loverde, Innovorder offers an all-in-one SaaS platform covering point-of-sale order taking, payment processing via its proprietary Innovorder Pay solution, kitchen display systems, back-office management, and customer loyalty programmes. The company serves both commercial catering clients — including quick-service restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and transport catering venues — and contract catering operators across corporate, educational, and healthcare settings. Innovorder counts the ten largest contract catering groups in France among its clients, including Sodexo, Elior, and Compass, as well as commercial brands such as La Croissanterie and Amorino. The company has been profitable since 2024, reports a 40% annual organic growth rate, and expects to reach €15 million in revenue by 2026. Proceeds from the round will fund the continued rollout of its AI-driven product suite centred on its Atlas platform, as well as geographic expansion across Europe, where Innovorder is currently active in France, Morocco, Spain, and Italy.

About the Useldinger family office: UL Invest

UL Invest is a Luxembourg-based private investment company founded in 2015 by Laurent Useldinger off the back of his fintech exit. Useldinger built ULLINK, a trading order-routing software firm, over 17 years from a Paris startup into a global platform with 600+ employees across eight financial hubs and €140 million in annual revenues, before selling it to ITIVITI in 2018 for approximately $650 million. UL Invest deploys its own permanent capital across three asset classes: BtoB technology private equity, real estate and private debt, and eco-friendly hospitality. In private equity, ticket sizes range from €500,000 to €5 million, with a focus on SaaS and digital innovation. The firm takes active governance roles in its portfolio companies and brings hands-on support in internationalisation, technology strategy, and financing.
