Tim Schumacher is a well-known German internet entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of the domain market place Sedo, has launched SaaS holding SaaS.Group and also initiated the World Fund, which is a €350M investment vehicle set up to invest in startups tackling climate change. The private investments of Schumacher are conducted through his German family office TS Ventures. For his investment activities, Schumacher received the “Best Investor” award of the German Startup Association. 

Family office as software startup investor

The Schumacher family office combines investments in startups tackling climate issues as well as software startups. One exemplary investment is the sustainable search engine provider Ecosia or PV installation provider Zolar. Software-driven investments include the fast growing privacy consent software provider usercentrics. TS Ventures remains an active investor: in October 2022, the firm participated in the €4M seed funding round of French startup Surfe, which is building CRM software to collect leads via LinkedIn.
