Nexus NeuroTech Ventures, a brain-health focused venture capital firm with approximately $200 million in assets under management, ceased operations on March 31, 2026, following its acquisition by Bayshore Global Management, the single-family office of Google co-founder Sergey Brin. The firm’s portfolio of roughly 15 companies — spanning neurodegenerative, neuropsychiatric, and neurodevelopmental therapeutic areas — will be absorbed into Bayshore Global’s broader investment operation. Nexus NeuroTech CEO Jordi Parramon confirmed the closure in a LinkedIn post, noting that the portfolio companies had collectively helped more than 200,000 individuals and had generated over 50 ongoing clinical studies. Brin’s involvement in Nexus pre-dated the acquisition: his nonprofit Catalyst4 held approximately a 95% stake across multiple Nexus investment vehicles, according to a 2024 tax filing, making Bayshore Global’s full absorption of the fund a consolidation of capital already under Brin’s effective control rather than a new external transaction.
About the Brin family office: Bayshore Global Management
Bayshore Global Management is the single-family office of Sergey Brin, who co-founded Google alongside Larry Page in 1998 and served as President of its parent company Alphabet until 2019. Brin is currently ranked as the world’s fourth-wealthiest individual, with a net worth of approximately $269 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Bayshore Global manages Brin’s personal fortune across a range of asset classes including direct venture investments, real estate, and philanthropic vehicles. Brin has maintained a long-standing personal and philanthropic interest in brain research, particularly Parkinson’s disease, which has informed his support for neuroscience-focused investment and grant-making for decades. The absorption of Nexus NeuroTech Ventures marks one of the more visible instances of Bayshore Global internalizing a previously external investment platform, bringing the management of a thematic portfolio directly under the family office’s roof.
