Ortega National Parks (ONP) is a family-run national park operator and hospitality firm from the United States. Recently, the Nolan single family office “Nolan Capital” invested in the company and is now the majority shareholder. Nolan Capital is also listed in our list of single family offices in the United States.

Offering national park services since seven generations

The family-run business operates park operations in American national parks. Main revenue is generated by running the national and state park concessions, for example in the Acadia National Park, Golden Gate Park, Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park or Death Valley National Parks. Ortega National Parks is running attractions as well as hotels and accommodations. Special sites are the “Lodge at Mammoth Cave” or the Carlsbad Caverns, where you can enjoy lunch at 750 feet below the surface. Ortega National Parks is run by Armand Ortega, Shane Ortega and Tom Williamson.

Growth through investment from Nolan Single Family Office

Now, the California-based family office of Peter Nolan acquired Ortega National Parks. Armand Ortega, Shane Ortega and Tom Williamson will remain minority owners and board members. Nolan Capital wants to further grow the services of ONP, while further focusing on offering high-quality services. Peter Nolan was a former MP of Leonard Green and Partners, an LA-based private equity firm. Nolan Capital is focused on investments with an annual EBITDA between $5-30 and real estate. Other PE investments are wet wipe converter Diamond Wipes (Chino, CA) or real estate cloud software firm Genea (Irvine, CA).
