Sharrp Ventures, the family office of Marico founder Harsh Mariwala, has led a ₹100 crore funding round in Naturis Cosmetics, a Mumbai-based contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) in the beauty and personal care space. Announced on July 16, 2026, the round marks the first external institutional funding in the company’s history since its founding in 2011. Participants alongside Sharrp Ventures include Mirabilis Investment Trust, the family office of Infosys co-founder K. Dinesh, growth equity investors Anicut Capital and Niveshaay, D2C ecosystem figures Suyash Saraf of Hyperscale Ventures and Yogesh Kabra, and several angel investors from the pharmaceutical and specialty chemical sectors. Naturis manufactures for more than 50 brands, including Pilgrim, Purplle, Nykaa, Colorbar, Kay Beauty and Innovist’s Bare Anatomy, and partners with pharmaceutical majors Glenmark and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories on OTC and cosmeceutical products. The capital will fund a new 225,000 sq. ft. production facility in Vapi, Gujarat, an R&D centre in Mumbai and an experience centre in the NCR region, as the company targets expansion into men’s grooming, colour cosmetics, body care, fragrances and exports.

Harsh Mariwala founded Marico in 1990 after leaving the family-run Bombay Oil Industries and remains its Chairman today. Sharrp Ventures was founded in 2014 and is led by his son Rishabh Mariwala. On the unlisted side, it focuses on consumer businesses with typical ticket sizes of $1 million to $3 million at Series A and B stage, with early investments in category-defining companies such as Nykaa and Mamaearth. The name Sharrp is derived from the first letters of family members’ names across three generations of the Mariwala family.
