Full Vision Capital, the Hong Kong-based family office of Dr. Peter Lee Ka-kit, has led a $300 million Series B+ preferred stock financing round in EnerVenue Holding, Ltd., a California-based energy storage company. The round brings EnerVenue’s total funding to $445 million. EnerVenue, which was originally incubated by Full Vision Capital, develops Aqueous Metal Cell (AMC) batteries — a technology adapted from decades of aerospace use — for large-scale, long-duration grid storage applications. The company’s batteries operate across a temperature range of -40 to 50 degrees Celsius, use a water-based electrolyte that eliminates fire risk, and are engineered for tens of thousands of charge cycles. Proceeds from the round will fund further R&D, ramp-up of large-scale manufacturing at the company’s facility in Changzhou, China, and the expansion of global commercial reach. Alongside the financing, EnerVenue appointed Henning Rath, formerly Chief Supply Chain Officer at German renewable energy firm Enpal, as its new CEO. The Hong Kong Investment Corporation (HKIC) also participated in the round and will support EnerVenue in establishing a regional headquarters and innovation center in Hong Kong.
