Julia Koch: is there a family office?

As of September 2022, Forbes lists Koch as the 19th richest person in the world thanks to the fortune she inherited from her late partner, David Koch. Julia has an estimated net worth of $53.4b. Julia previously worked in the fashion industry as an assistant to Adolfo in New York during the 1980s. In this article, we will investigate if Julia operates a family office.

No Julia Koch family office but a dedicated supporter of the healthcare industry

Julia serves as president of the David H. Koch Foundation and is on the board of directors for Koch Industries, however, there is no dedicated family office. The Koch family foundations were created by Charles and David Koch who are sons of Fred, the owner of Koch industries. The David H. Koch foundation was established to support science and medical research, to date, the foundation has donated nearly $200m. In addition to the foundation, Julia and her late husband donated $10m to Mount Sinai Medical center and an additional $10m to Stanford Children’s hospital. Julia has several other philanthropic investments including donations to the Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Koch has also served on the board of directors for the School of American Ballet.
