The sale of the Seattle Seahawks by the estate of Paul G. Allen to an ownership group led by the Khosla family closed on 3 September 2026, and the Aramburuzabala family is among the minority owners the club named in its own announcement. Vinod Khosla chairs the franchise and First & Goal LLC, Neeru Khosla is the controlling owner and president of the Seahawks Charitable Foundation, and Neal Khosla is vice chair. The wider group the club listed also includes Mark Stevens, Val Blavatnik, Sheryl Sokoloff, Gonzalo Hevia Baillères, Jesse van der Werf, Samir Kaul, Sunny Gupta, Nader Naini, Penny Pritzker, Carlyle and Dynasty Equity, and Sixth Street. The agreement to sell was announced on 11 July 2026, NFL owners approved it on 26 August, and a press conference followed at Lumen Field on 9 September. Front Office Sports reports the transaction at 9.612 billion dollars, which would make it the largest price paid for a North American sports team; the club itself has disclosed no figure. The family’s participation is held through Tresalia Capital.
About Tresalia Capital: The Aramburuzabala family office
Tresalia Capital is the investment firm of María Asunción Aramburuzabala and the Aramburuzabala family of Mexico. The family fortune originates in Grupo Modelo, the brewer behind Corona, which was sold to Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2013 for roughly 20 billion dollars. María Asunción Aramburuzabala inherited her father’s stake in the brewer ahead of that sale and has since built Tresalia into one of the most visible family investment vehicles in Latin America, with interests spanning real estate, consumer businesses and financial services. The firm does not publish a portfolio on an accessible website, and the Seahawks announcement names the family rather than the vehicle, so the ownership stake should be read as a family commitment reported through Tresalia. Minority positions in NFL franchises have become one of the few routes by which non-US family capital can access American sports, following the league’s 2024 decision to admit institutional and private investors to limited stakes.
